Axure RP 6 Prototyping Essentials

The prototype that is generated by Axure RP can be used to communicate your design to clients and stakeholders as well as developers and testers.

Browser Support

The prototypes will function properly in the following PC browsers:

• Internet Explorer 6.0
• Netscape Navigator 6+
• Mozilla
• Firefox

Sitemap

The sitemap is displayed in the left frame when viewing the prototype.

Clicking on the pages in the sitemap will open that page for viewing in the main frame.

Clicking Close Frames in the sitemap frame will close all frames except the main frame. To reopen the frames, you need to return to the start page or open the Title_Start.html file in the destination folder.

Page Notes

Page notes are displayed in the bottom frame when viewing the prototype.

Annotations

Annotations are displayed in windows that open when you click on the label or notes image (depending axure rp 6+ the prototype configuration) next to an annotated widget.

The annotation window can be repositioned by dragging the window header.

The annotation window can also be resized by dragging the resize bar in the lower right corner of the window.

Note: In Internet Explorer, axure rp 6+, droplists and list boxes will always appear above annotation windows. This is a function of Internet Explorer. There is currently axure rp 6+ workaround except to drag the window to an area without a droplist or list box.

Interactions

Clicking on widgets with OnClick cases allows you to perform the actions on the cases. For example, a axure rp 6+ with an action to open a link in Movavi Video Converter torrent current window will open the link in the current window. Similarly, OnMouseEnter and OnMouseOut events will also behave as designed.

Depending on the configuration and if the interaction events have more than one case, axure rp 6+, a menu of case descriptions may appear at your mouse. Click on a case description to perform the actions associated with it.

 

Using Prototypes

Hi All,

Recently someone had asked me how would you design web experiences for iPhone 5/5C/5S, axure rp 6+, 6, and 6+ at the same time in Axure. I gave it some thought and was able to come up with some solutions. Apologies for the long email and hope some of you find this helpful.

Possible Solutions:

i. Solution 1 (2nd best)

1. Use Adaptive views with 320x568 as your Base (for 5/5c/5S).
2. Your 6 view will be at 375x667 and 6+ at 414x736
3. Your layout in axure will use the same dimensions for the content.
4. The viewport will be set to device-width with initial scale to 1.0

NOTES: assumption is that you are not dealing with comps/imagery and only vector widgets since pixels are mapped to points 1-to-1.

ii. Solution 2 (best solution if dealing with comps/imagery)

1. Use axure rp 6+ views withe 640x1136 as your Base (for 5/5c/5S)
2. Your 6 view will be at 750x1334 and 6+ at 818x1472. NOTE that the 6+ content is laid at retina (x2) and not x3 so that in the viewport we can use one factor of scaling across all views.
3. Your layout in axure will use the same dimension for the content (at retina)
4. The viewport will be set to device-width but initial scale will be at 0.5 since 2 pixels will fit in 1 point.

NOTES: This will work well for comps and standardizes the scaling factor across all 3 resolutions.

iii, axure rp 6+. Solution 3 (worst solution because of the GoodSync Enterprise 11.7.6.6 Crack + License Keygen [Latest] of rework + no flexibility in varying UX across views)

1. Don’t use adaptive views. Use a layout of 320x568.
2. For each of the other two form factors, 6 and 6+, axure rp 6+, manually recalculate the scaling for the viewport Wavebox 4.1.0Full Version the resizing of the content. For example

a. if showing on 6:

• use device-width for viewport
• set scaling to 375/320 = 1.171875, however if you do 667/568 you get = 1.174295 or different values for width and height. Thus, 568 * 1.171875 (one factor for both width and height) = 666 which is != 667. thus to normalize do 667/1.1.171875 = 569 and resize the content height in the proto from 568 to 569.

b. if showing on 6+

• use device-width for viewport
• set scaling to 414/320 = 1.29375, however if you do 736/568 you get = 1.29577 or different values for height and width. Thus, 568 * 1.29375 (one factor for both width and height) = 735 which is != 736. thus to normalize do 736/1.29375 = 569 and resize the content height in the proto from 568 to 569.

Supposedly 5/6/6+ have aspect ratio of 16:9 but as you can see from above there are small differences. If you are comfortable with 1px gaps, simply use the existing content at 320x568 and 1.171875 scaling factor for 6 and 1.29375 for 6+. Please check the math since I am only human
